Takako Hamilton
I am Japanese, born and raised in Japan to Japanese parents.
At the age of 28, I was given the opportunity to move to Australia and have come to love the country so much that I can call it my second home.
In 2018, I returned to Japan with my Australian husband and two sons.
After decades of working as a company employee, I decided to make a change and live a second life as a medical aromatherapy and Pilates instructor and Ayurveda master.
Story
I first encountered Pilates when I was pregnant with my first child. Due to lack of abdominal muscles, I couldn't support my growing belly, and the pain just kept increasing. I could barely walk 15 meters at a time. That's when I went to see a physiotherapist. There, I was given about four Pilates movements and told, "If you can't stand the pain, do these exercises every day." At the same time, I was recommended to join a Pilates class three weeks after the birth of my child. I participated in maternity yoga, but it focused on activating the parasympathetic nervous system, in other words, relaxation.
After that, I started taking Pilates classes and continued taking classes until just before the birth of my second child. I had no pain during my second pregnancy.
After that, I moved and had other thoughts, so I took a break from Pilates for a few years, but just as I began to miss it, a turning point in my life came when I decided to try and become a medical Pilates instructor.
While studying Medical Pilates, I wanted to deepen my knowledge of Ayurveda, which I had been interested in for a long time, so I decided to obtain qualification as an Ayurveda Master.
Pilates may seem like a simple exercise, but if you do it properly, you can get amazing results and feel the effects! Also, if you learn about your own constitution through Ayurveda and take measures to prevent illness, I think you will feel the improvement in your constitution even more. I would be happy to help you improve your health.
